SAVANNAH - Raymond Bolton, 94, formerly of Rochester, N.Y., died peacefully on February 3, 2010 at Savannah Commons. He was a Boy Scout leader, Shriner, and loved coaching, participating and watching sports, especially baseball and bowling. Raymond retired in 1976 to pursue his love of travel. While living in California near his son, Ray, he satisfied one of his lifelong dreams by working at Dodger Stadium. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and made a special trip to London in 1985 to find his family roots and meet his relatives. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Ocean City, N.J., a town he truly loved; remaining there until his move to Savannah in 1998.
He is predeceased by his wife Leah and son Ray. Survivors: daughters Christine Robert Aiken of Savannah and Wendy Bolton of Rochester, N.Y; son Mark Karen of Boston, Ma.; daughter-in-law Lynda Bolton of Glendora, Ca.; grandchildren: Lance, Seth, Joshua & Kathryn Bolton; Adam Jenalee Herb; Buddy Anna & Tom Aiken; great-grandchildren Jaidyn Herb, Matthew & Cynthia Aiken.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church, 50 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, Ga. 31411. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, N.Y. Remembrances: Salvation Army, 3100 Montgomery St., P.O. Box 23798, Savannah, Ga. 31403.
